Spring sees the Only On The High Street team springing into action in Worcester at CrownGate Shopping Centre ready for the Early May Bank Holiday. With the Ladies Day at Worcester Races on Saturday 6th June as inspiration, the team has been working closely with CrownGate and its retailers to create their Summer Style Edit.
‘Under Starter’s Orders with CrownGate’s Summer Style & Fashion Event’
Ladies, if you want to get a head start in the fashion and style stakes this summer, get down to Crowngate’s Summer Style Edit this May Bank Holiday weekend 2nd, 3rd and 4th May.
Throughout the weekend, retailers will be showcasing their collections to help shoppers find their outfits for Ladies Day at Worcester Races and for other special occasions. Participating stores will highlight their collections by displaying specially designed black labels tied with pink
ribbon and staff will be on hand to help shoppers make their selection. In addition, style and beauty experts will be giving out style tips and advice and there will be FREE demonstrations and pop-up workshops to help ladies look super glam and well groomed.
There is no need to book; just turn up at the specially created ‘Parade Ring’ outside House of Fraser, Boots and Debenhams and Crowngate’s Race Team will be there to give you further information and get you in winning form.
In addition, Jenny Cheshire from Worcester Racecourse, will be giving out advice on how to place a bet and racing etiquette.
Placing a bet and being in with a chance of winning is all part of the fun and there are some fantastic prizes on offer including diamond stud earrings worth £350 from ICE Fine Jewellery, five pairs of tickets for racing fixtures at Worcester and a host of other fabulous goodies.
Shopping can be hungry work so free sample nibbles will be distributed over the weekend, courtesy of Boston Tea Party, The Green Room, Carluccio’s, The Café at Debenhams and Café Zest at House of Fraser.
Sara Matthews, Marketing Manager at Crowngate said, “ Dressing up for the races is all part of the fun, however, horse racing is steeped in tradition and dress codes need to be respected. We want to give ladies the opportunity to choose their race outfit or indeed any other special
occasion outfit, in good time and to give them expert help and advice to put the finishing touches to their look. Retailers have already done a lot of the leg work by selecting and highlighting appropriate occasion wear, for example, House of Fraser will be modelling some of their recommendations.”
Erica Burlace, Centre Manager at Crowngate said. “We want to provide an interactive and informative event that will help retailers engage with their customers. Retailers will be able to demonstrate their expertise and deliver a first class customer experience which will encourage shoppers to return to our centre.”
